Visitor Rules
On arrival To David Jack Centre please report to the Main Reception on Park Road where you will be issued with a visitor’s pass (Contractors need to report to the Security Reception adjacent to the Contractors’ Car Park on Harris’s Lane). The pass should be worn throughout your visit and handed in at the Reception before you leave the site.
Your host will be informed of your arrival and meet you at the Reception. If you are arriving by car, you will be also directed to the Visitors’ car park. Drivers must observe on site speed limits and parking restrictions.
On arrival at Ware GMS please use the Visitors’ Car Park which is clearly signposted. Report at the Main Reception on Priory Street where you will be issued with a visitor’s pass (Contractors need to report to the Millside Security Reception adjacent to the Visitor’s Car Park).
While on either of the sites you must be accompanied by a member of GSK staff who will make you aware of any relevant health and safety procedures.
Taking of photographs on GSK sites without prior authorisation from Security is strictly prohibited.
Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas.
GSK Ware is easily accessible on foot or by bicycle.
A 10 minute walking zone is shown on the map. Ware town centre, the railway station and other public transport interchanges are easily reached within this time. Access by foot to GSK Ware is good with well lit footpaths from the transport interchanges and there is an alternative scenic route along the River Lea towpath.
The National Cycle Network (NCN) Route 61 runs along the River Lea towpath adjacent to the GSK Ware site. It provides an attractive off road scenic route from Hertford and Welwyn Garden City (via the Cole Green Way) to the north and west, and Stanstead Abbotts, Rye House, Cheshunt and beyond to the south. Everyone travelling to GSK Ware by bicycle can park on site and use the cycle change facilities – please speak to security staff on arrival.
Ware is the nearest national rail station to GSK Ware. Abellio Greater Anglia trains provide a regular 30-minute service from London, Liverpool Street, to Hertford East via Tottenham Hale or Seven Sisters and Broxbourne .Oyster cards can now be used at Ware and Hertford East station resulting in possible savings on local fares. Connections are available at Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters for the London Underground (Victoria Line) and at Broxbourne for National Express East Anglia services to Harlow, Bishops Stortford and Cambridge. Taxis are available from the taxi rank outside Ware railway station, travel time to GSK Ware is approximately 5 minutes.

There are no direct bus routes to GSK Ware. There are bus stops within short walking distance, which are served by local services from Puckeridge, Buntingford, Dane End, Stevenage and Hertford. Other bus services in Ware stop at the area around Ware rail station and Hertford Regional College, which is a 15 minute walk away along the scenic River Lea. All the bus services can be found by clicking on bus stops on the map on the map.

From the A1 (north or south) take junction 7 and follow the A602 to Ware until you cross the A10 and take the B1001 towards Ware.
From the A10, take the exit marked Ware B1001/Stevenage A602 and take the B1001 towards Ware, continue past the cemetery and down the hill, past Fanshawe Crescent to the roundabout with Park Road, turn right here and continue along Park Road for about half a mile until you arrive at the main entrance for the David Jack Centre on the left hand side opposite Chauncy School and Fanshawe swimming pool.
For Ware GMS follow the same directions until you reach Park Road, then take the second turn left into Harris’ Lane (at a traffic calming raised table) and continue driving between the two sites. THIS NEEDS TO Change.The road turns sharp left and after a couple of hundred yards, you will reach the Visitor’s Car Park for Ware GMS on the right.
